Starbucks’ Fall drinks have sent Steinbrenner High School students into a craze. The fall drinks were first released at the end of August, and their popularity never died down. Especially when Halloween season was right under our noses, everyone needed to have a specialty drink in their hands while they walked through the pumpkin patches and windy weather. Here in Florida, it is not necessarily cold at that time of year, but we like to believe a warm Starbucks drink would warm us up and help us get through the day.
Fall is a season characterized by its own comforting nature. It is seen as a time of relaxation and ease, and these Starbucks drinks helped with just that. Giving students a small reward to look forward to in those work-filled days adds to the overall blissfulness.
Starbucks’ fall drinks ranged from lattes to cold brews, including warm fall flavors such as pecans and pumpkin. The fall drinks changed every year with a different seasonal lineup every time; many say that this was the best lineup yet. Popular drinks included the iced pumpkin cream chai and the pecan crunch oat milk latte, two of the most ordered out of the five core fall drinks on the menu.
As many teenagers know, we are not supposed to drink coffee, but multiple Steinbrenner students woke up bright and early in the morning just to get their hands on the drinks. Even going as far as saying that it is not a good day without a Starbucks drink in the morning. “Every morning, I wake up before school to buy a pumpkin spice latte. It gets me through the day and makes me extra ready to face the long school day,” said junior Aniyah James.
While the fall season has come to an end at Starbucks, the seasonal celebrations continue with the release of the winter menu on November 6th. “The Starbucks line-up for fall drinks is what I look forward to all year. It is sad to see it come to an end,” said junior Emma Harrell.
It is important to celebrate and cherish these traditions at Starbucks, and how it really makes every season special.
