As the music strums swiftly, and the harmony flows beautifully, the audience applauds the hard work put forth by the Steinbrenner and Martinez orchestras respectively. The first concert of the year was a massive success, as all the effort the students put into playing paid out.

This year’s concert was hosted in Steinbrenner Highschool auditorium where the students of both Steinbrenner and Martinez came together to play and listen to the music. For entry, children under five entered for free while students paid $5and parents paid $10.

As for the concert, Martinez started the first act and did two 6-minute songs and played phenomenal.  Then, the concert orchestra started playing their two songs.

“We played Legends of Glory and Jupiter,” said freshman Caden Vo.

After the beautiful work done by the concert orchestra, it was Symphonics turn to shine. The symphonics put a lot of effort into their songs and it paid off well. Symphonics started practicing at around the same time concert orchestra did, which was the first week of school. The symphonics played two pieces and the crowd absolutely was stunned. The ladies and gentlemen on stage performed extremely well and the vibe carried onto the chamber to end it off on an amazing note. Steinbrenner’s chamber ensemble played.

Their talents and skills showed, and they worked hard for this.

“My favorite part of the concert was the chamber ensemble, which has different instruments all grouped together masterfully,” said student Elijah Reed.

Overall, everyone enjoyed themselves and cannot wait for the next. At around 8:30, the performance finished. Everyone who attended and played left glad, and the mood was overall happy. It was truly an experience to remember as this was the first concert of the 23-24 year.
