Lights off, snacks stacked, one good scare queued up. In order to have that thrilling night to remember, one needs to find a movie lineup that’s going to set the mood. What makes a good Halloween night is to keep things simple. Pick a theme, set a time, get your snacks, keep phones down during the big jumps, and end with a movie that will make you laugh and make you feel so safe and warm when watching so you can actually fall asleep at night.
Classics that everyone watched to get into that Halloween spirit is Scream, this is a funny who done it type of movie, that will leave you guessing and questioning. Next up we have “Halloween”. I would describe this as a slow type of movie but yet very thrilling. And finally, we have the “Conjuring”. This movie is not for the weak so if you aren’t really into the type of movies where you won’t be able to sleep at night then I don’t recommend this. Some friendly but spooky movies that I would recommend are “Coraline” and “Hocus Pocus”. They are both very popular classics, especially during Halloween.
When asked what their favorite halloween movie snack is, Jayden Mullar responded with “A bunch of gas station candy, like starburst you know sour patch, can’t go wrong with that.” Nothing like classic treats to go with a classic movie. “Doritios,” said Andrew Shines.
Horror movies aren’t for everyone, so if you want to give one a try, now is the perfect time. Even if you do get scared, you can always end your night with a movie that will keep a smile on your face and make sure that you sleep good through the night. So, grab a blanket, grab your snacks, and press play. Worst case, switch to something sweet and call it a night. Happy haunting.
