The Steinbrenner Warriors soccer team took to the field in November and have played 6 games so far this season. Opening the season at Bloomingdale, it did not go as expected as they lost 1-6. The team moved past that game and looked to find some rhythm to start the year. Their next game against Wharton would not go as hoped, but it was a step forward as they tied 0-0. Steinbrenner would soon move on to a winning streak, handing losses to Sickles, Blake, and Alonso by keeping them all off the scoreboard. Coach Ebright commented on their start by saying “the boys are coming together, with a little slow start… but now the actually lineup is together, and we are playing really well”.

To keep rolling into December, the Warriors beat district opponent Gaither 2-1. The district games are big for the Warriors as Coach Ebright said “We always have a strong district and with 4 or 5 strong teams that we have to get through”. One of those strong teams is Plant, they would tie that game 2-2 and look forward to playing them again. As Steinbrenner finished out the 2023 of the Coach had some thoughts about his team stating, “We have drastically improved from game to game, and I expect that to continue moving forward”.

The Warriors played a few more games as they would beat Leto, Jefferson, Robinson, and Strawberry Crest. They would end the season at Bloomingdale for the western conference game and fall 0-4. With wins heading in and finishing 4-1 in the last couple of weeks, things are only looking up hill for the Warriors as they move into the playoffs. They will play Plant again in the district tournament.
