On Tuesday, January 16th the Lady Warriors celebrated a win against Plant City on Senior night. With anoutstanding score of 68-5, the warriors came together as a team to bring home a win. With having five seniors playing all four years at Steinbrenner, head coach Alex Hertenstein stated, “It’s been a privilege and honor to coach these girls especially this year as the head coach and seeing their growth from freshman to their senior year.” Coach Goldstein (former girls head coach) and Coach Hertenstein both made a speech for each one of the girls saying how proud they were to be able to have coached them.

Before the game started a ceremony took place to honor the seniors. They were joined by family and friends to celebrate their accomplishments. It was a memorable night for the varsity girls. Senior, Lindsay Philips expressed “These past four years have been fun alongside my teammates, and we’ve created a legacy that will live on forever.”

At the start of the game all seniors, Danae Blacketer, Brooke DiCampli, Lindsay Philips, Brielle Edmiston, and Mackenzie Sherwood got a chance to all play together on the court. Senior, Brielle Edmiston said “Watching and being able to be a part of such growth has been a wonderful experience, and I wouldn’t ask to have spent it with any other group of girls.” To end the night all of the five seniors got points on the board which created an even more eventful night.
