Steinbrenner High School held its homecoming dance on September 27th, 2025. Students in all grade levels were allowed to attend the dance to partake in eating, dancing, and socializing with friends.
The event was held at George M. Steinbrenner Field, a baseball field located in Tampa, Florida. The homecoming dance was not directly on the field, but in the Bullpen Club, an all-inclusive club for games held at the stadium.
Students had access to both the main floor and the second floor of the Bullpen. “I really liked the venue because of the view of the stadium and how it looked when the sun was setting,” said freshman Ella Hoffman. “Going up and down the stairs in heels was a struggle, but otherwise, the venue allowed everyone to have an amazing time.”
The dance’s theme was A Night in Paris, and students did not disappoint when dressing to follow it. “I wore a red dress because red is associated with love and Paris is considered the City of Love,” said freshman Madelyn Hill. Other students wore red, along with pink and blue, which are colors commonly associated with the city of Paris.
The homecoming ticket also included food and drinks for students to enjoy while socializing at the dance. Food items included a variety of desserts, including cookies, brownies, donuts, and churros. Lemonade and water were also served.
Near the end of the night, songs were blasting through the speakers as students danced and sang with their friends. Homecoming ended around 10 p.m., and students left the stadium with memories they will never forget.
