If the word hasn’t gotten around yet, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse have been the topic of conversation due to their world famous Pizookies.
A Pizookie is a large cookie cake with a scoop of ice cream on top. BJ’s Pizookies come in eight different options, with a gluten free option also available. These cookies have become all the rave because of the variety and selection of options available, finding someone who has yet to try this amazing indulgence is few and far between.
It’s no doubt that everyone who has had one would testify that they are amazing, but the details matter.
“They’re soft, pretty chewy, and it’s got pretty good ice cream,” said Steinbrenner junior, Austin Rath. Students like to point out that their favorite feature of the Pizookie is how fresh it is, but to some, it may be too fresh. “I really like them, but I think they come out really hot and they burn my mouth,” said junior Lily Gorgol.
Many students wish to see BJ’s expand their menu and add flavors. They have suggested bringing back some like the limited-edition Fruity Pebbles Pizookie and the Cinnamon Pizookie. Some students such as Lewis Daily would like to see brand new flavors like Red Velvet Pizookie.
According to Steinbrenner’s very own students, the Pizookie that seems to be most favored is the Cookies and Cream flavor. This not only was included in many students’ top three but also takes the average in third place for the most liked cookie according to Mashed.
If there’s still any doubt about the quality (or popularity) of these cookies, take it from the Principal of Steinbrenner High School, Ms. Ewell. “While I haven’t gotten a Pizookie, my nephew swears they’re the best thing ever and gets them after his baseball games.”
There is no doubt that this culinary invention has become one of the most looked forward to additions to dinner on a night out, but what makes it so special is the shared love almost everyone has for them. Unlike other “trendy foods,” Pizookies tend to be enjoyed by people of all ages, everywhere, forever!
