From New York City, the beach, and going to the mountains Steinbrenner students have exciting plans for over the break. Spring break is the last chance for students to have fun before the stressful exam season at the end of the year. Photo courtesy of Autumn Brown.

With winter finally ending, and the weather warming up, students at Steinbrenner get to look forward to spring break. Living in Florida allows for so many tropical destinations, but some want a different experience, climate, and weather. Traveling to national parks, cities, and theme parks is a great way to spend the week.

Many people are making trips out of the country, like senior Carson Smith, who is traveling to Europe, to visit a few cities in Italy. He’s going to Rome, Milan, and Venice and has many fun excursions planned.

Junior Jose Bernado is going to Puerto Rico over the break.

“I’m flying over to see family, as I have many times before, it is always a really fun time and can’t wait to go,” said Bernado.

Sophomore Arianna De Jorge is going to New York City for fashion week and to be in a pageant. She is a model for Tampa Modeling Academy and has plans to walk for Norma Ebanks, a designer for dresses.

“I am really excited to go back to New York, since I was there a couple weeks ago. I really hope to walk in another show,” said De Jorge.

Although a lot of students are traveling, most are staying home for the break. Senior Bella Busicchia is taking the opportunity to work, hang out with friends, and relax.

The break is also a great chance to volunteer and get service hours. There are many food pantries, animal shelters, and beach clean-ups that could always use the extra help, and not being in school allows for more time to assist.

Teachers also have big plans for spring break. Ms. Walsh is heading to northern Georgia to visit family and explore the beautiful Appalachian Mountains.

There are so many different plans and activities that will make the most of your spring break.
