Ingredients

-½ cup heavy whipping cream

-2 eggs

-¼ cup melted butter

-1 teaspoon vanilla extract

-2 17.5oz or 12.4oz tubes of Pillsbury Grands cinnamon rolls

-2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

-3 teaspoons ground cinnamon

-¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

-½ cup finely chopped pecans

-Icing from the cinnamon rolls

-Powdered sugar or maple syrup if desired

Instructions

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt your butter and coat the 9×12 baking dish with the butter until the whole dish is covered (there will be extra butter, it’s okay)

-In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, whipping cream, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Set aside.

-Open both packages of cinnamon rolls and slice each roll into eighths. Once chopped, place the pieces of cinnamon roll into the bowl with the egg mixture and mix it to thoroughly coat the pieces.

-Once coated, pour over the pieces that are now covered with the mixture into the baking dish and evenly spread them out. You can pour the extra mixture on top of areas that look as though they might get dry while baking.

-Sprinkle the top with finely chopped pecans, if desired

-Bake in the oven for 22 minutes or until it becomes a light golden brown. The best way to confirm if it’s done is to check one of the middle pieces to ensure the dough is set.

-Once cooked, remove from the oven and warm the cinnamon roll icing in the microwave for about 15 seconds

-Drizzle the icing across the casserole and then top with powdered sugar or maple syrup (optional) and enjoy!
