What did previous middle schoolers think about finally becoming freshmen in high school? Most people have different views and thoughts about entering high school because it can be a distinct experience for everyone. For example, some might have fun, some might be scared, and some might be neutral about the whole concept, holding mixed opinions about entering high school as freshmen.
High school can present many new challenges and experiences, making it unique for each individual. “High school is going well for me. Even though the classes demand more work, little things can affect grades compared to middle school, and it is taken more seriously, but overall, it is not that bad,” said freshman Malak Kafay. “What I miss about middle school, though, is that the campus was smaller than the high school, but I like that most people allow phones and headphones,” added Kafafy.
Middle school is extremely different from high school, and the changes are different for everyone. “The people in this high school are much better and nicer than my middle school. Even though it was confusing at first, I also had tons of freedom. I do miss the accessible bathrooms in middle school, but the club variety, the lenience with electronics, and the free seating are nice touches to the new environment,” said freshman Amari Daniels, describing his experience so far in high school.
What he said shows that most people are glad that they are in high school and do not miss middle school. “Entering high school has a tremendous change in environment from the big campus. But it is nice having less homework, advanced learning, and meeting new people,” said freshman Rama Alkurdi. This can show that Alkurdi prefers high school over middle school because of the new opportunities that the high school offers to students of all grades.
But some people may have mixed opinions about becoming a freshman. Maybe confused if they like it or not, or prefer it over high school, because they might like the recent changes or might like the old things about middle school. Entering high school can be beneficial, with new opportunities and challenges, both bad and good.
