The girls’ lacrosse season kicked off with a great start, and the team was ready to dominate the field. Their first game was against the Sickles Gryphons on February 10th. The girls played with incredible energy and teamwork, securing a solid victory with a score of 13-9. It was a fantastic start to the season, setting the tone for the next games.
Just a few days later, on February 13th, the team faced the Bloomingdale Bulls. The girls were on fire, showcasing their skills and strategic plays. They won the game decisively with a score of 14-6. The back-to-back victories boosted their confidence and strengthened them. “We are having fun and it’s just so thrilling because you get to challenge yourself every single day” says Brissie Nguyen.
Their next match was against Robinson Knights on February 18th. The girls were unstoppable, displaying excellent coordination. They dominated the game from start to finish, winning with an impressive score of 16-3. The team’s hard work and dedication were clearly paying off.
On February 21st, the team took on Freedom. The girls continued their winning streak, playing with unmatched intensity and focus. They secured another victory with a score of 17-3.”This is my second season playing lacrosse, and I’m still learning. I want to improve my stick skills and score more goals.” Sophomore Lily Hoffman says.
On February 24th, the Warriors were up against the Newsome Wolves. They are a really strong team, so we knew it was going to be a tough battle. The Warriors tried their best at defending the Wolves from scoring, but their offense was too strong and that left the score being 5-15, with the Warriors losing.
The season was shaping up to be one of their best, and the girls were determined to keep their momentum going. With each game, they grew stronger and more united, making this season truly unforgettable. “The start of the season has been good. It has been hard to just keep up with everyone on the team because they’re all so good, but it’s just been good, and I get to challenge myself this season” Freshman Adriana Vedmed says.
