Hannah Montana

“It was one of my favorite shows to watch as a kid,” said sophomore Saayali Kaushikkar. The series follows the Duncan family, who live in Denver, Colorado, as they navigate the ups and downs of raising four children.  

The show centers on Teddy Duncan, the oldest daughter, who is tasked with making video diaries for her baby sister, Charlie, to help her understand life as she grows up. Throughout the series, Teddy shares her experiences, challenges, and lessons learned while growing up, with a focus on her quirky family and their daily adventures. The family dynamic is enriched by characters like Bob and Amy Duncan, the loving but often overwhelmed parents, and PJ, the fun-loving and sometimes clueless older brother. The show also features Gabe, the mischievous middle child, who often finds himself causing trouble, and Charlie, the adorable baby who is the center of it all. 

 Good Luck Charlie was praised for its relatable portrayal of family life, mixing humor with genuine moments of love and support. The show was a success for Disney Channel, becoming a fan favorite and leaving a lasting legacy as a wholesome, family-oriented series. 

Jessie 

Jessie is a hit TV show that brought laugher and joy to many kids growing up. Its plot involves a babysitter that is pulled from the street trying to become a famous actor. She is offered the job of taking care of the four kids of famous millionaires. Jessie portrays the bonding in between them and shows all the crazy adventures they go through. From having a big pet lizard to hilarious sibling rivalries, this series has brought so much happiness to students here at Steinbrenner and around the world. Being a key part of their childhood growing up while Disney Channel was at its prime.  

Sophomore Lily Astin said, “I watched Jessie growing up with my siblings it’s a funny show. My favorite moments were the beef between Zuri and Bertram.” This emphasizes how entertaining this show was and how it truly felt like you were a part of their family. Jessie really does live up to its theme song, “It feels like a party ever day…” 

While this show ran for four seasons, it’s not enough for the individuals who grew up with these characters along the way. Leaving Jessie a special and charismatic place in their heart. As well as a place in their childhood they would always remember. 

KC Undercover 

K.C. Undercover is a popular teen series following the wild adventures of K.C. A sarcastic fun-loving teenager that found out her parents are secretly undercover spies. Being the math genius that she is she decided to hop on the bandwagon and become what seemed to be the coolest profession there is to man, becoming the spy she was destined to be. Her parents test her qualifications and eventually she goes on undercover missions with other spies, living a life kids dream of and inspire to be. 

This show influences young children to be themselves no matter what happens and to always stick up for themself. Either in high school or undercover, they might be completely different situations, but K.C. handles them the same way with her crazy personality and braveness. She doesn’t care what anyone thinks and leads a role for others to follow.  

K.C. Undercover is not just a series but a message that your courage can help you overcome any challenge. Either as a top-secret spy or as a teenager going to high school.
