Crumbl Cookie, a franchise only available in the U.S and Canada, has been rising in popularity throughout the past year for their diverse cookies. “Crumbl’s origin begins with two crazy cousins and the perfect combination of flour, sugar, and chocolate chips,” according to Crumbl’s website where they shared their backstory.
Every week, Crumbl introduces a new set of six cookies that ranges from completely new flavors to classics that are returning. Semi-sweet chocolate chunk and milk chocolate switch out every week to provide a safe, classic cookie for those who still want to enjoy Crumbl without the unique flavors. The idea of this rotating menu is what hooks many customers and keeps them coming back.
“I like how Crumbl rotates its flavors weekly so we’re always getting to try something new,” sophomore Alexa Dickey said.
The company’s name quickly spread across social media when users began posting their reviews of the cookies. Some of these social media users have gained a large following from posting reviews, which has led them to commit to buying a six-pack box every week.
“I would say I get Crumbl whenever the flavors are good. “I don’t like to go if the flavors are bad,” junior Yen Nguyen said. The menu changes every Sunday, introducing a new round of cookies.
Many people have mixed feelings when it comes to how they feel towards Crumbl, sometimes enjoying one week more than the other. How big a person’s sweet tooth is, is also a factor for how much someone enjoys the cookies.
“I love the pink sugar cookie one,” sophomore Taylor Saneholtz said.
This past week, Crumbl debuted their Halloween menu which was in theme with the holiday. The menu consisted of a new flavor, pumpkin cake, Halloween cake batter blondie, dirt cake, peanut butter ft. Reese’s Pieces, blue monster ft. Chips Ahoy, and semi-sweet chocolate chunk.
“I got the semi-sweet chocolate chunk cookie and the dirt cake cookie which were both super good,” freshman Ellie Anastasiou said. All of the cookies featured in the Halloween menu received good ratings on the Crumbl app for both taste and presentation.
Even though their flavors can have conflicting reviews per week, the company has and is continuing to grow. Crumbl continues to try new ideas, one of them being the release of their different mini cakes, along with trying new cookie flavors. The anticipation of wanting to know the weekly flavors has benefited the company and allowed them to become popular all over the country.
