Grad Bash, an annual event that happens for seniors, took place on Friday, April 26th. High schools from all over Florida traveled to Orlando to celebrate their Grad Bash at Univeral too. The seniors took charter buses to the theme park to arrive just in time as the park closes to outside guests. It’s closed between 6 P.M. and 2 A.M. to give the seniors full range of what the park has to offer. This event is a way for all the students to have fun spending time with each other at a theme park.
The ride to Universal is a long trip that takes a few hours. To keep themselves busy, seniors tried various things to not let themselves get bored. This includes using entertainment, being social on the bus, or just chilling in the seat. “We all just talked,” said senior Betsy Pardo. In the end, during the few hours on the bus ride to Orlando, students found ways to keep themselves entertained.
Once they arrived at the park, there were many things the seniors could spend their time doing. Having said that, with the park being huge and filled with fun things, the students kept themselves busy. Some popular activities in the theme park consist of rides, shows, restaurants, or simply just walking around and enjoying the view. “I spent most of my time getting food and going on rides,” said senior Loralie Osborne.
After the fun-filled night, each student had a core memory to take away from this trip. “The most memorable thing for me was going on Hagrid’s ride and being in the Harry Potter world. The ride was so much fun and the line, even though it was long, was still interactive and cool. Also, Harry Potter world was just so cool in general. It is exactly like how you would imagine from the movies and books,” said senior Gretchen Knight. Taking part in the activities led to creating memories for the seniors.
To sum it up, the Grad Bash this year was an exciting night for everyone. There were many interesting activities there that kept the students occupied and amused. To take away from this, the enjoyable night was full of memories as the seniors started to end their final days of high school.
