Girls Lacrosse Team Members are Named ‘All American’
Considering the spring sports season ending, many athletes have started to look back on their athletic accomplishments of the year. For seniors Rori Prilik, Kaitlin Price, and Taylor Lapointe, these accomplishments include recently being named ‘All American’ and ‘Academic All American’.
This All-American title is used to represent players who have superior skills and techniques, along with having excellent sportsmanship and knowledge of lacrosse. With all Steinbrenner seniors on the Girls Lacrosse team being committed to colleges and many being D1, this award represents the team’s hard work as a whole and individually.
“I was super honored to be named Academic All-American this year. I worked super hard, and it paid off,” said senior Rori Prilik.
Currently, Prilik is committed to play Division 1 lacrosse at Stetson University and has played in the past for high-ranking teams such as Israel Lacrosse. Meanwhile, Price is committed to the University of Tampa and Lapointe is committed to Northwestern University.
Despite a tough loss against Plant Lacrosse ending their season, these star players did all they could to shine on and off the field. These awards are not the only ones these players have received this year, with athletes such as Lapointe being named ‘Player of the Week’ for the south.
As these players move to the next level in their careers, this award provides a memorable ending to their high school seasons. Congratulations to Price, Lapointe, and Prilik for their amazing accomplishments!
