The Best Gooey Cheesy Nachos for Cinco de Mayo

These nachos are a great way to get in the spirit with yummy Mexican foods. While normal nachos are great, these are elevated with more ingredients and spice to make them more interesting and flavorful. These are very customizable too and allow you to have freedom to add whichever foods are your favorite. These nachos are life changing and will leave you wanting more.

For this recipe you will need-

A sheet pan

Oven and stove

Tips and tricks-

You can add or take out any of these ingredients to your liking. It helps to prep all your ingredients before you start cooking, so it’s easier and more time efficient to make.

Leaving the nachos in the oven for a couple extra minutes can make them crunchier and crispier if you like that texture.

Prep time- 15 minutes

Cook time- 10 minutes

Ingredients-

1 tbsp olive oil

1 lbs ground beef

2 cloves of garlic

1 packet of taco seasoning

12 ounces of tortilla chips

1 can of black beans

1 cup of corn

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 diced tomato

¼ cup diced onion

1 thinly sliced jalapeno

2 tbsp sour cream

2 tbsp chopped cilantro

Instructions-

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly oil a baking sheet or coat with nonstick spray.

Cook the meat by heating olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and garlic and cook the beef until brown for about 3-5 minutes. Make sure to crumble the beef as it cooks, and stir in the taco seasoning, drain any excess fat that maybe in the meat.

Place chips in a single layer on the baking sheet, and add the ground beef, cheeses, black beans, and corn on top.

Put the nachos in the oven for 5-6 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted and everything has been heated.

Add your tomato, onion, jalapeños, sour cream, and cilantro to top them off and enjoy!
