Within the past few weeks, the trend of “Team Hailey vs. Team Selena” has been passed all around social media. This big topic has interested many students based off which celebrity is better, Hailey Bieber or Selena Gomez.

This debate has made it to as far as tip jars at coffee shops saying, “Team Hailey”, or “Team Selena.” Most of social media is more on Selena’s side of the drama with continuous “Team Selena” posts spreading over all media sites.

 A freshman at Steinbrenner Highschool, Ella Carter states, “I think most people are on Selena’s side because the celebrity drama was about Justin Bieber, and Hailey posts make fun of Selena…I am for team Selena I love her music and she didn’t do anything wrong in the situation.” 

 It seems like the topic has been on some students’ minds because freshman Lauren Jones had the same opinion. After being asked if she’s on Hailey or Selena’s side, she says, “Selena is my favorite and also most of the world’s favorite so personally I will aways chose her over Hailey.” 

The debate over this feud has been spread upon multiple platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat. 

Although a couple students had the most popular opinion, freshman Elijah Soto thinks differently. “I don’t know a lot about them, but I don’t think Hailey really did anything at all and people should leave her alone.”  

That unpopular opinion may find its way around the school, but for now Selena takes the lead!
