Recently, on Sunday, February 5th the Grammys held their 65th annual award show. It was hosted by popular talk show host and comedian Trevor Noah for the 3rd consecutive year. With 86 different categories and some of Musics most popular artists in attendance, it was definitely a night to remember.

One of the night’s most memorable moments happened when Beyonce took home four awards, beating the record for artist with the most Grammys, giving her a total of 32. The awards were won for best dance/ electric recording, best dance/ electric music album, best traditional R&B Performance, and best R&B song. With her release of her popular new album Renaissance, it’s no surprise Beyonce won each award, and fans thought it was very well deserved.

It was also a big night for Harry Styles who won two Grammy nominations for best pop vocal album and album of the year for his newest album Harrys House. He was very emotional in his speeches thanking his fans and family for always being there and supporting him throughout his music career. He also performed one of his most popular songs, As It Was, live at the ceremony.

Kim Petras and Sam Smith made history from their win as best pop duo/ group performance for their song Unholy, that gained popularity through TikTok. Kim Petras is the first trans women to ever win a grammy, and credited her win to others in the community who have lifted her up and gave her the encouragement she needed to pursue a music career.

Lizzo gave a stunning performance of her song, Special, after winning a Grammy for record of the year for her song, About Damn Time. She dedicated her award to Prince, saying how she has been inspired to make positive music because of him. It was one of the biggest awards of the night and she made sure to show her gratitude towards fans for supporting her and helping her get to where she is now.

Overall, the night was filled with some of the biggest moments in music history. It was a great way for fans to see their favorite artists succeed and win awards that they deserve.
